Getting to Antigua

Fly into La Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City, Guatemala. It is a small and easy airport to navigate.

The drive from Guatemala City to Antigua takes approximately 45 minutes–1.5 hours, depending on traffic. We would advise booking a private transfer from the airport to your accommodation in advance — Antigua Tours is wonderful and will be assisting us with all transportation during the wedding weekend. Uber is also available in Guatemala.

A Quick Note on Flights

For guests traveling from the New York or Philadelphia areas, as of now, there are two nonstop flights to Antigua a day. In our opinion, the most convenient option is the evening United flight out of Newark.

For guests traveling from Miami, American Airlines offers several nonstop flights each day, and JetBlue also offers a nonstop morning flight from Fort Lauderdale.

If you're planning to join us for the Welcome Party on Friday, we recommend traveling Thursday evening or early Friday, especially if you're coming from the Northeast, West Coast, or anywhere that requires a connection.

In our experience (and Google Flights data), flights for January are often most reasonably priced when booked between September and December, though fares can always vary.

We'll continue to share any helpful travel updates here as they become available, and please don't hesitate to ask us any questions regarding your travel. We can't wait to celebrate with you in Antigua!

Airbnb & Vrbo Rentals

Airbnb and Vrbo are also great options. There are several classic, colonial-style homes conveniently located in the town. If you plan on booking a vacation rental, we recommend doing so well in advance, as this is peak wedding season in Antigua!
